5The best safest stroller out there!
By Kelli
When I was pregnant with my son 5 years ago, I wanted one of these strollers so bad... I had bought 2 different travel systems, both I HATED the strollers! The Evenflo and Graco brand strollers are WAY too heavy, and too big! PERIOD! Finally, when my son was 1, I got one of these, it was used, but my friend knew I wanted one, so she gave me hers. I have read reviews saying this stroller wont last. I LAUGH at that. I live in Hawaii, where it is hot 100% of the time all year long. Meaning, plastic made things can warp, shrink, or just bust because of this constant heat. However, I just sold my used stroller on CL about 6 months ago, and saw the lady who bought it, and it's still looking GREAT! What does this mean?! It is AMAZING quality. Italian made! The thing I LOVED the most about this stroller was the fact that you can take EVERYTHING off and wash it all, VERY easily. NO screw driver or other device needed where as every other stroller Ive seen you have to use one to wash EVERTHING! Not a problem with this, and it all washes beautifully. I can see the #1 thing people think when they see this, the COST and WHY is this so expensive and is it worth it?! YES it is! Think about it this way, the money you're going to WASTE buying 3 different strollers you can SAVE and just buy this. Most parents buy a bulky stroller at first not knowing better, than switch to a umbrella, or compact lighter version. BAD DEAL, cannot go FLAT for your kid to sleep! I have litterally had every single stroller brand known to man, from Combi, to Bob! This is seriously the BEST! I have taken it on several trips on airplanes where I have gate-checked it, and it's always been fine. People are amazed watching you fold it, because it folds up SO neat and compact eventhough it acts like a full size stroller. My son loved this stroller and used to easily fall asleep, and actually LIKED this stroller. Compared to every other one, he complained and screamed inside of it. This one, was his favorite, and mine too. I love the front tray how there is a cup holder that the cup doesnt fall out of! We have used this stroller for an all day excursion at least a few times, it fits perfectly in any trunk, because it's so compact. LOVE IT! My son used this until he was 4, he was a big kid, he is now 4 1/2 at 45lbs and 42inches tall! We are now expecting baby number 2, and as soon as I know what we're having, I will be back to get another one of these since I know this will be the only stroller we will need!

5About to replace the one I lost
By musicmama
I can personally attest to the Pliko P3's good quality, especially compared to the 3 strollers we bought that broke during the year before we invested in this one. I'm shopping for a second one after accidentally leaving our first one behind while traveling cross-country. I had secretly wanted to replace the original after 4 yrs, but only because it was getting a little dingy. The entire thing was in great shape! It was on it's third child, and had been used a min. of 3 times a week straight from the day I put it together to the day we lost it. It went to France and survived airline abuse when it was 3yrs. w/o any issues. It spent most of the time in our trunk or the back of our van where it was jostled about and subjected to the extreme heat of summers in the desert. The only minor issue I should mention is that the wheels squeaked.Pros (I've made use of all of these):compact foldadjustable handle height3 or 5pt. harnesschild tray w/ cup holder that can be completely removed for washingadjustable back & footrestolder child ride-on stepfront wheels swivel or lock to accommodate different terrainhas seemed comfy for a variety of sized/aged babies & toddlerseasily steered w/ one handroomy despite the compact foldamazing canopy that fully protects a child from the sun (as long as the back is in the upright position. It's still better than most as you start to recline).Cons:no parent tray, and the cup holder seems like an add-on, not an integral part of the designbottom basket is usable, but not very substantialMinor reply to other review about the full-recline feature: I removed the plastic pieces to use full-recline as I assembled mine in 2007. Never had an issue and loved letting my babies sleep in comfort.

5Stood the test of time - best umbrella stroller
By Raivyn
EDIT 11/5/12: Not long after I gave away my P3, I scheduled a trip to visit family out of town. Unfortunately, the car we would all be using was not large enough to accommodate my BOB stroller, plus I was concerned about it getting damaged by baggage handlers. So I followed my own advice and picked up a used P3!This particular used one had issues staying closed, and one side of the canopy kept coming off the frame. But it still was easy to maneuver, nothing was actually broken on it, and it opened/shut just fine (though again, it had difficulty staying shut). This time I'm keeping this old P3. I did contact Peg Perego and got the refurb kit (some of the older strollers were recalled), so I'm not worried about it at all.ORIGINAL REVIEW: I'm posting this review because my Peg Perego Pliko P3 is now 6 years old and is being passed on to be enjoyed by another baby. I hope folks who are considering purchasing a used P3 will find this review helpful. I also hope that parents who are considering purchasing a new one will find this helpful, too, mine has lasted at least 3 kids, so it is a worthy investment. With the exception of a few squeaks, this stroller has and continues to perform superbly. It is very easy to push, highly maneuverable (I have a BOB also, so that is an important feature to me), not a single piece of plastic or aluminum has broken off, and everything functions. For a well used stroller, that is a testament to how durable these P3s are. The only issues my 6 year-old stroller has is:-When folded, it may start to open as you lift it up by the carrying handle.-It doesn't just pop open like a new one. I will flop it open and then have to step on the toddler step in the rear to open it completely.-One of the Peg Perego name badges fell off.-I lost the attached cupholder, but it was too small to be overly functional anyway.I don't think the issues my P3 has should deter anyone from purchasing an older model or a new one. If you are considering a used one, definitely test the folding mechanism and the opening mechanism to see if it is to your liking. If you are thinking of a new one, keep in mind that those may be future issues to deal with. Neither are deal breakers IMO. My BOB starts to open when folded because it is only kept closed by the jogging strap, and it doesn't always pop open easily either. And it is only two years old and more expensive! If you are in the market for an umbrella stroller or a travel system, the P3 is definitely the way to go and worth every penny. It folds compactly and is lightweight like a typical umbrella stroller, but has the benefits of a full size stroller such as great maneuverability, easy to push, reclining backrest, large canopy, adjustable handles, and very stable (with a car seat or toddler in it for weight).A couple of accessories I recommend are the J.L. Childress Side Sling Cargo Net and the J.L. Childress Cups N Cargo Stroller Organizer. As other reviews have mentioned, the storage and cup holder design of this stroller isn't very practical, and these two accessories help resolve that.Best of luck on the stroller search!
